INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Individual therapy at Living Well Mindfully is a personalized and collaborative process that allows clients to explore their unique experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Dr. Schroeder integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with mindfulness and contemplative practices. This combination helps clients gain practical skills for managing daily stress while also engaging in deeper self-reflection and healing.

Each session is designed to meet clients where they are—whether addressing trauma, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, or identity-related challenges. Dr. Schroeder’s approach is active and holistic, often incorporating somatic interventions, breathwork, and movement to support mind-body connection. Clients learn not only how to manage symptoms but also how to develop resilience, insight, and balance in their everyday lives.

For teens, young adults, and members of the Queer community, Dr. Schroeder provides a supportive space to explore identity, build self-acceptance, and navigate the pressures of family and society with confidence. Her approach integrates an understanding of how social constructs—such as gender, power, and systemic inequities—shape lived experience. She also offers parent support to strengthen communication and understanding at home. Above all, Dr. Schroeder fosters a compassionate, justice-oriented environment where clients feel empowered to heal, grow, and embrace their authentic selves.
