SUPPORT FOR QUEER YOUTH & YOUNG ADULTS

Adolescence and young adulthood are times of exploration, growth, and self-discovery, but for many Queer individuals, these years can also bring unique challenges. Dr. Schroeder provides a safe, affirming space for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults to process experiences related to identity, relationships, and mental health. Her integrative approach blends evidence-based therapy with mindfulness and contemplative practices, helping clients build confidence and resilience in navigating both personal and societal pressures.

Sessions focus on creating a supportive environment where clients can explore their authentic selves without fear of judgment. Whether addressing trauma, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, or the stress of navigating identity, Dr. Schroeder offers compassionate guidance and practical strategies for empowerment. Somatic practices, mindfulness exercises, and movement-based interventions are often incorporated to help clients reconnect with their bodies and emotions in ways that foster healing and growth.

Dr. Schroeder also understands the importance of community and family dynamics in supporting Queer youth. She offers parent and caregiver guidance to help families create more affirming, understanding, and supportive environments at home. Above all, her goal is to ensure that Queer teens and young adults feel seen, valued, and empowered to embrace who they truly are.
